Objectives of the Event/Program:
1) To allow the system to grow easily by adding more servers or nodes, without affecting performance.
2) To enable the processing and transfer of data in real time, allowing systems to react instantly to events as they happen.
3) To create a flexible system where data producers and consumers work independently without directly depending on each other.
4) To keep the system running smoothly even when there are hardware or software failures
5) To support modern application designs where systems react to events instead of polling for data.
6) To handle a large volume of data with high speed and low delay, even with thousands of messages per second.
The Apache Kafka workshop at SMR began with an introduction to real-time data streaming, followed by hands-on sessions where students explored practical use cases. The blend of theory and practice made the event engaging, fostering teamwork, innovation, and collaborative learning among students and faculty.
