- 2nd Runner-up: Team Cancerian Capital – Rs. 10,000 In the startup/developer category, Team Akagami won Rs. 20,000.
The event successfully promoted hands-on learning, industry mentorship, and startup ideation. It concluded with a strong commitment from DYPDPU to continue supporting innovation and expand future editions through corporate partnerships and incubation support.
Brief Summary:
DYPDPU Hackathon 1.0, held on March 7-8, 2025, at Dr. D. Y. Patil Dnyan Prasad University, Pune, was a 30-hour innovation marathon organized by the School of Management and Research in collaboration with Idealabs and TalentFarm.ai. With over 1600 registrations, 53 teams comprising 223 participants were shortlisted. The event aimed to foster innovation, bridge academia-industry collaboration, and promote entrepreneurial thinking.
The hackathon was inaugurated by Mr. Neeraj Athalye, VP at Icertis, alongside prominent industry leaders and academic dignitaries. Participants addressed real-world challenges using technologies like Generative AI, Blockchain, IoT, and Robotics. The event structure included online ideation, onsite prototype building, and final pitching, all under the guidance of 30+ expert mentors and jury members.
Workshops, networking sessions, and one-on-one mentoring enabled participants to enhance their problem-solving and presentation skills. The final evaluation, judged by both internal and external jury members, emphasized creativity, technical feasibility, real-world applicability, and execution.
