Brief Summary of Event:
On the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2025, Dr. D.Y. Patil Dnyan Prasad University’s School of Management & Research organized a successful yoga celebration on campus. Conducted under the guidelines of the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, the event highlighted the importance of Yoga for achieving physical and mental harmony.
The program was graced by dignitaries including Dr. Atul Kumar Registrar of Dr. D.Y. Patil Dnyan Prasad University, Dr. Vishal Wadajkar Director of School of Management & Research, Dr. Kiran Kale Head of the MBA Department, and Dr. Shikha Dubey Head of the MCA Department, reflecting the Institute & university’s commitment to holistic well-being. Anchored by Dr. Jena Joshi and coordinated by Ms. Manasi N. Bhangale and Dr. P.J. Renuka, the event was efficiently managed.
The yoga session, led by professional trainer Mrs. Madhuri Patil, began with a talk on Yoga’s importance, followed by guided meditation, asanas for flexibility and strength, and concluded with relaxation techniques. Healthy refreshments were served post-session.
The celebration fostered unity among faculty and staff while enhancing awareness about physical and mental wellness. Notably, the university received recognition from the Ministry of Ayush for its outstanding organization of the event, bringing pride to DYPDPU and reinforcing its commitment to holistic education and well-being.
