Summer Internship program

The Summer Internship Programme (SIP) at the institute is an integral component of the academic curriculum, strategically scheduled after the completion of the second semester and prior to the commencement of the third semester. The internship spans a duration of eight weeks and is designed with the following primary objectives:

  • To enable students to acquire an in-depth understanding of their chosen area of specialization.
  • To help students identify relevant job roles within their domain and the requisite skill sets associated with those roles.
  • To provide students with practical exposure to the corporate environment, thereby preparing them for professional careers.

During the internship period, students are placed across a wide range of industries, firms, and organizations. This immersive experience serves to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, while simultaneously enhancing the competencies and insights essential for success in the business world. Additionally, the internship enables students to better understand organizational dynamics, collaborate effectively within teams, and gain clarity regarding customer and client expectations.

The SIP not only fosters academic learning but also cultivates professional behavior and performance standards aligned with organizational goals. A significant outcome of this process is the opportunity for students to secure Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), thereby strengthening their prospects for final placement.

Upon completion of the internship, students are required to deliver comprehensive presentations before industry professionals, showcasing the work or projects they undertook during the internship period. These presentations form part of a formal evaluation process that assesses the knowledge and skills acquired, the practical contributions made to the host organization, and the student’s overall professional growth. The accompanying question-and-answer sessions further reinforce the students’ applied learning and enhance their confidence in professional communication and critical reflection.
